“Nintendo’s Answer to Gran Turismo rumored to be in development”.
Coincidentally or not, this message appeared on an imageboard exactly a month earlier.
Even some of those looking forward to Wii U seem to have let the implications of this Wii U graphics demo from E3 2011 slip their minds when it comes to discussions of the Wii U’s graphics yield and performance capabilities.
Remember this demo was running on PROTOTYPE Wii U hardware and could have been created as far back as a calendar year ago as of late February 2012.
Watching this video and keeping in mind that Wii U has been said by multiple sources to be roughly 50% more powerful than PlayStation 3, the most powerful HD console now available, and that its graphics yield could be within a little as 20% of the Next Gen Xbox system, why would there be any reason to believe the gulf between Wii U and the competing 8th gen home consoles will be as great as that between the 7th gen PlayStation 3 and the deliberately low performance Wii.
No matter, E3 2012 will settle this matter once and for all.
